Duncan Tavern Historic Center

One of the oldest surviving buildings in Paris, Duncan Tavern is a remarkable example of early Kentucky architecture. Constructed in the late 18th century from native limestone, the Georgian-style building features distinctive stonework, symmetrical design, and architectural details that reflect the region’s frontier-era heritage.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Paris, directly across from the Bourbon County Courthouse, Duncan Tavern offers filmmakers an authentic early American setting. Its imposing stone facade and carefully preserved historic character provide a compelling backdrop for period productions and scenes evoking Kentucky’s earliest days.
